Oral Cancer & Screening
At OmniSmiles, we ALWAYS check our patients to make sure they are not showing any signs or symptoms of oral cancer. Oral cancer is one of the most aggressive types of cancer in the body.
It is important to do a thorough examination of your tongue, throat, face, lips, head, and neck. Dr. Haddad is looking for any abnormal swelling, redness, white patches, or any irregular appearance of the tissues in the head and neck area. Catching any signs of oral cancer as early as possible is very important.
There are also other medical conditions with signs and symptoms that can appear in your mouth. These screenings are done with your routine check-up, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t keep any eye on things yourself. Be sure to look out for abnormal lumps & bumps, as well as any spots that seem to have a change in feel, color, size, or irregular shape. If this occurs, please set up an appointment for an evaluation immediately.
